Who We Are

About Us
Markaz-e-Wilayat-e-Ali Pakistan (Sindh) was established in 2020 at a highly sensitive and decisive intellectual juncture, when the fundamental beliefs of Shi‘ism were being systematically distorted through organized planning. Under the guise of doctrines such as Wilayat-e-Faqih, ijtihad, and the taqlid of non-infallibles, innovations were promoted that penetrated the intellectual foundations of the Shi‘ism of Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad (ﷺ) like a deadly poison. The most painful aspect of this ideological onslaught was the audacity with which the very foundations of Shi‘ism—namely, the Wilayat of Mawla Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace and blessings be upon him) and the mourning rites of Sayyid al-Shuhada Imam Husayn (peace and blessings be upon him)—were rendered doubtful, restricted, and in some places even declared unlawful through false verdicts.
This mindset generated severe intellectual turmoil, despair, and uncertainty within the Shi‘a world, compelling the ordinary Shi‘a devotee and mourning adherent to question what kind of injustice was being inflicted upon the great sacrifices of the Family of Muhammad (ﷺ). During the same period, the verses of the Holy Qur’an and the traditions of the Infallibles (peace be upon them) were distorted from pulpits and prayer niches through selective, political, and misleading interpretations. Regrettably, many preachers and orators of the community chose expedient silence—an evident sign of compromised conscience and intellectual disloyalty to the Family of Muhammad (ﷺ).
At such a critical moment, the radiant examples from Shi‘a history came vividly to mind: the self-accountability of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (أبو ذر الغفاري), the protest and steadfast resistance of Salman al-Farsi (سلمان الفارسي), the voice of truth of Rashid al-Hajri (رشيد الهجري), the courage of Hujr ibn ‘Adi (حجر بن عدي) and Tarimah ibn ‘Adi (طرماح بن عدي), and the unwavering steadfastness of Maytham al-Tammar (ميثم التمار) upon the gallows. Had the banner of truth not been raised at that time, today’s Shi‘a society—as a collective—would have stood guilty of betraying the blood of the Family of Muhammad (ﷺ) and the countless martyrs of Karbala.
It was against this intellectual and ideological backdrop that Markaz-e-Wilayat-e-Ali Pakistan (Sindh) came into existence, with its leadership entrusted to Syed Ali Raza Shah Jani Shah. The center serves as an organized ideological platform that rises above personal interests, social pressures, and worldly expediencies, and remains actively committed to the protection of the pure Shi‘ism of Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad (ﷺ) and to the defense of the beleaguered foundations of Shi‘ism.
Since its establishment, Markaz-e-Wilayat-e-Ali Pakistan (Sindh) has stood firmly against ideological tyrannies. Its members have resolved to offer their lives, wealth, and families in the path of truth, so that a community intoxicated by the ideology of non-infallible ijtihad and taqlid may be reconnected to the pure religion of Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad (peace be upon them), and Shi‘ism may be safeguarded from the ideological assaults of Nasibi and Muqassir scholars. By the grace of God, the effects of this struggle are no longer confined to Pakistan; they are being distinctly felt in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, India, and other countries, and a new wave of intellectual awakening has emerged within the Shi‘a community.
Markaz-e-Wilayat-e-Ali Pakistan (Sindh) regards the obligation of the Wilayat of Mawla Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace and blessings be upon him), the promotion, protection, and defense of the mourning of Imam Husayn (peace and blessings be upon him), the complete safeguarding of the sanctity of the Sadat, and the intellectual and principled rejection of Wilayat-e-Faqih, ijtihad, and taqlid as the core pillars of its mission. Guided by a spirit of patriotism, the center also considers the defense of Pakistan’s geographical, ideological, and constitutional integrity to be a religious and national duty, and categorically rejects clericalism, theocracy, and every system that exploits religion as a means to acquire political power.
The center’s clear, unambiguous, and principled belief is that the divine system of governance will be established solely and exclusively by the Imam appointed by God—Imam Mahdi (peace and blessings be upon him; may Allah hasten his reappearance)—and that during the period of occultation, no non-infallible individual, group, or juristic structure possesses any authority to implement a divine system. On this basis, the center holds that the state must be governed through the constitution, law, and the will of the people, while the role of religion is not political domination but the moral, intellectual, and spiritual formation of human beings.
Markaz-e-Wilayat-e-Ali Pakistan (Sindh) continues to advance along this ideological path with steadfastness, loyalty, and a spirit of sacrifice.
